Making money by working from home: the power of advertising

The single way the big earners at SFI make money ( I know this from the forum, where all kinds of topics are discussed, particularly how to increase sales and make more money) is ADVERTISING. Having said that, how do you advertise and particularly, where?

Everyone has their own favorites. One of my upline works with Autoresponders. This is a system in which you set up a landing page offering something for free. The visitor has to fill in an email address in order to receive this. The Autoresponder then sends a number of emails/letters which you have prepared yourself to this email address, I think it can be up to 25, and of course offers the information about whatever aspect of SFI you want to promote. Research has shown that a person on average has to see a message 7 times before reacting to it.

Many work with the social media. For this, you have to be active in the social media and have a rapport with your followers. You recommend something and they might buy it. This involves your "warm market" or the people that you already know. It does not work for me because I am not in the least active in the social media normally. SFI has many free banners available that you can use in the social media such as these:

Join me, Tamara Croes, and I'll personally help you build a second income with top rated SFI—now in its 18th year! Click here to join my team and get started FREE today!

What I do work with if I have the time is free advertising websites. There are many of these. You can google "free advertising" or do as I did, bought a list of free advertising websites. It cost me nothing because  I used the Member Reward Points that I automatically collect when I do my daily activities on the website. I have even used these to buy physical products which I then review on my blog about health and fitness, TopCat's TopFit , and promote if they are good.

I have been going through the list that I have and only a few % are really active and usable. If you would become a member of my team by joining SFI for free, I will share this whittled-down active list with you; most people would be willing to pay for such a list. Most sites carry advertisements for a month and then you have to renew them. But all are for free, so if you have no reactions it has only cost you a little time. Do remember to use Key Track Codes so you  know which of your advertisements is successful. There is a feature for that on the SFI website. No other program offers so many free training and marketing tools. At least not that I have seen.

Then there is real life advertising: in magazines, radio, tv; these generally cost. What I find useful is hanging up brochures in gyms, at supermarkets and other public areas where it is allowed.
SFI has many printable brochures for products (the website even generates these for you); example:

 tripleclicks.com
jewelry sets gold plated rhinestone Enamel necklace earring for women— €16.12 (Save 28%!)

Description: Material: alloy with gold plated, rhinestone.Enamel Color: as the picture Item: YB package: 1set=1 necklace+1earring Size: as the picture
19.9 USD InStock

This is the banner, but the website can generate a printable flyer as well.  SFI has more than 10,000 products to choose from in all possible categories, so there will always be something of interest to whatever place you think of advertising. Then there are splash pages and e-cards and car magnets.

What I haven't tried yet but am going to, is concentrating on the garage sale that TripleClicks is running. I and every other affiliate can freely advertise our secondhand stuff. This would be interesting to people holding garage sales and people selling secondhand stuff, right?
So if you have a local advertising site in say, Newby, Oklahoma you can look for the garage sale department if there is one. Once people are online to sell, they will have a look at the other stuff SFI and TripleClicks are offering and maybe become interested in the auctions, the games or selling TC products.

Good luck!

Selling online: where I get most of my commissions from

I've been on vacation for a while, but now I am back on track and thought I would find out and write a post on how I earn my commissions. I have been doing this for almost a year now and I have tried out all the different ways of earning money with SFI and here is how I get most of my earnings (and believe me, it is not as all as I expected :)):

1. The TripleClicks Executive Pool, strange enough. This I only receive in those months that I make Team Leader, which again is coupled to how many VPs I have made, which is coupled to all activities that I do at SFI. The amount of VPs I have determines how much I earn of this pool. Since I have a standing order (SO) which automatically makes me EA I earn 1500 VP at least and then about 360 from doing my dailies; if I decide to make Bronze Team Leader (for various perks such as extra CSAs added to my team) I often buy traffic to this blog and my website, so then I come up to 3000 VP a month. How much this amounts to in cash depends on the size of the pool and the number of VPs we altogether have as affiliates.

2. CSAs commissions; or indirect commissions. These come from activities/sales made by my CSAs (co-sponsored affiliates; I am not their main sponsor). Incredible that this is my second largest source of income.

3. Milestone Shares: this is a bonus program in which I receive extra shares from the TripleClicks Executive Pool coupled to the amount of VPs I earn. I only receive these when I make Team Leader. In order to make Team Leader in a month, I need to make 3000 VPs and sponsor at least 5 affiliates (I have about 400 so that is no problem).

4. Direct commissions: this is from sales at TripleClicks. As for income, this actually comes only in the 4th place! I do hope that I will be able to increase this though, by selling more. I am particularly keen on selling the PrivacyMaxx program, because of the commission volume and the chance that it will be a repeat order after 1/2/3 years.

I have had no income yet from:
- ECA referral, although I now have a number of PRMs (personally referred members) of which I hope some will become active ECAs. If they start selling, I start earning.
- PSA activity, meaning my direct sponsored affiliates; none of the 25 I have are active. These are therefore people that sign up thinking they have found a get-rich-quick scheme, look around a bit and then lose interest. If you plan on signing up, give it at least a year!
- The Pay per Action program; this means that you earn up to $10 if you can come up with signups that are active. However I have looked at the rules for this and decided I would rather keep them to myself if they are active, because that will potentially give me more income.

Best online selling sites: what is working for me (and what not) my top-7

I have tried most marketing methods for selling online and I have also talked with other affiliates who are successful at this. As you see I have become an Amazon affiliate (at a much later time then when I posted this blog) and am selling their products as well:

I am new at this so I can't say whether it will work but I have high hopes.

According to most affiliates:

1. ADVERTISING is the key. In order to make money you have to advertise at least one hour every day. Personally I have spent a full week advertising like crazy and had not a single response. But I might have been doing it wrong. So I bought, with my Member Reward Points, so not investing any cash, a list of 2000 free advertising websites and 250 Google communities. When I tried out the list, out of the first 250 only 12 were actually functional free advertising sites, and most of them were specific for India. However I have to take the time to go through the rest of the list. A list of real, functional free ad websites is worth quite a lot, don't you think? Now to find the time to sit down and really advertise - for that is what I must do and am not doing. Update June 3rd: I have now gone through 500 of the list and actually advertised on 6 sites. What can you advertise for? For new affiliates and people who want to sell online. But also TripleClicks products. Literally anything. Books, gardening items, jewelry, fitness things, handbags, watches, kitchen utensils.   Example:

 tripleclicks.com
jewelry set— €14.57 (Save 49%!)

Item Type:Jewelry Sets Fine or Fashion:Fashion Included Additional Item Description:Necklace + earrings Style:Classic Gender:Women Material:Crystal Occasion:Party Metals Type:Gold Plated Shape\pattern:Water Drop Jewelry Sets Type:Necklace/Earrings/Bracelet Pecdant Shape:Crystal water drop Occasion:Anniversary, Engagement, Gift, Party, Wedding Net Weight:35 grams/set Package:opp bag /display card
15.5 USD InStock

2. BUYING TRAFFIC. This works for me. I have invested $12 in a couple of thousand visitors, and the first 500 have already arrived the week I published this. My SFI blog now has more than 3000 pageviews, up from 100+. Better yet, I am receiving signups out of these: affiliates and PRMs. So this works. I am certainly going to do this again. Update April 17th, 2017: definitely the best go. Works fantastically for me. I have just this month added around 50 PSAs and 25 PRMs to my list.

3. BLOGGING. This blog and 2 others I have (topcat2015.blogspot.se and topcat66blog@wordpress.com) attract visitors and now and then a signup. The important thing is to have regular new good content, which is not always easy. I feel I have to tell the truth about how things are going for me and then it will attract people. It seems to work. This blog generates the most signups so far. I also have a website topcat.sfiprofitsnetwork.com which attracts some visitors by itself and I sometimes buy traffic for it.

4. PERSONAL RECRUITING. I have gone to the local government job market and grabbed everyone who came out, started a talk with them about online marketing and working from home. I have gotten a couple of PSAs (Personally Sponsored Affiliates, the people that fall under you in your team) that way. Unfortunately none of them has remained active because this is not a Get Rich Quick Scheme, which is what they were looking for; or maybe they just wanted a regular job.

5. FACEBOOK and other social media. According to most affiliates this works best. Not for me, but then, I am not at all adept at social media. I never post on FB except with SFI promotion. Same for Twitter. On LinkedIn I have put links to my blogs on my profile. I have no others. I have gotten some visitors to my blogs out of it, though.

6. APPROACHING PROSPECT ECAs. Personally stepping into a business and convincing people that they can sell online is something I sincerely believe must work. However I have not been lucky at it. I have approached the Chamber of Commerce in my home country and the Association for Small Businesses where I used to be secretary. They thought it was a marvelous idea for their members, but I have not had a single signup after that. I am pretty sure that the key problem here is follow-up; although I have emailed them once afterwards, research shows that people have to be exposed to a good offer 7 times on the average before they make the decision. Here is where autoresponders come in. I haven't quite figured it out yet, how to make that work, but they basically send the e-mails for you automatically. You do have to write them, of course, but only once.
I also visited about 35 businesses and had a few who were interested, but again, no signups. I did not follow up here either. It is on my To-Do list.

7. DUPLICATION. Apart from personally recruiting affiliates you can also buy them or earn them or win them in auctions-last week I won 25 PSAs for just $0.36 and 4 bids. My sponsor put me under her S-Coop Builder (an advertising scheme) and I generally receive a couple of PSAs a month from that. I also lose a couple of PSAs/CSAs every month due to inactivity (no great loss there, they are only clogging up my list). My team is growing steadily; I now have 96 PSAs and 140 CSAs. Currently, 1 PSA is active and 8 CSAs. Last month I received commission on my CSAs for the first time. So that is also working, albeit slowly.

Being successful in selling online: the powerful GIFT CARDS!

One of the best ways to convince people to buy something is when they get a gift card for a certain store. At SFI this is one great opportunity to get clients. As a member, you can purchase Gift Cards with a $12 value for $0.99 each. You don't even have to pay shipping costs, as you can buy digital cards. When you give these to people they need to redeem them within 30 days or they expire. However, that does not mean you have lost your money: you can redistribute them to someone else until they are actually used! Once the person uses the card and signs up they will remain your Personal Referred Member for life and anytime they buy something you will receive commission on it. Pretty neat, huh? And doesn't just everybody love receiving gift cards as a present? It is a very positive way approach to marketing.

If you want to receive a free gift card just click HERE! Remember however, that if you are already an SFI affiliate, you can't use gift cards yourself. There is no obligation to buy anything but there are more than 90,000 products to choose from in any thinkable category, some of them are really cheap. There are always sales and close-out deals, so it is hard to believe that anyone would be unable to find something to spend the Gift Card on. Here is a sample:

Health & Wellness
Home & Garden
Pet Care
Electronics
Jewelry
Food
Books
Movies, music and games
Personal care & beauty
Education
Antiques and collectibles

Earn money working from home: other websites that DO work for you (other than SFI)

Right now I have my focus on SFI as you can clearly see from this blog. I believe it is going to make me a nice lifelong income. Right now I am earning some money with it, but not big money. I believe that in order to build up an honest business you usually have to invest a lot of time and effort in it. I have had my own business built up from scratch before, and that is the honest truth for most of us normal people. There are some lucky souls (or maybe they are just so incredibly good) that skyrocket immediately with their newfound businesses, and all luck to them. For most of us it takes longer.

However, before joining SFI I have tried out other businesses, and although I tried two systems that were kind of built up in the same way, as in focusing on both selling products and building up a team under you that does the same, they did not work for me. One of these was a Greens liquid thing in which you had to buy like $120 every month in "healthy" products yourself and try to find other people under you to do the same (with a large upfront investment of I think around $1200 at the time), and the other one was ItWorks! Wraps. I know there are people out there making lots of money with it, but I lost a lot of money with it and the wonderful wraps never worked on me or any other test subject so I am still stuck with like a dozen of them, and to keep up your distributorship you need to invest quite a lot in the beginning for the Newbie Package and then for the maintenance of your website and distributorship it was also a lot of money every month which you have to compensate with sales (which I never did).

Then there is Wealthy Affiliate, which I just recently joined and which is something which will take time to build up, so I can't say much about it yet but I am very positive that it will work.
But there are two websites out there that actually did work in a way, and are still providing me with job opportunities. One is completely free and is actually a social media: LinkedIn. I have had several job opportunities via my contacts. I keep this one "holy" and only for serious stuff. It is only today that I have added two of my blogs to my profile (my Health & Fitness blog: topcat2015.blogspot.se and my travel blog: topcat66blog.wordpress.com).

The other one is a paid one but it is for once worth its pay and it is called People Per Hour. (peopleperhour.com) If you are able to freelance in absolutely anything, DO pay the one-time fee, I think it was $29, and you will actually have job offers all the time. They are also quite serious about feedback and status in the sense of how good you have performed for customers. Via them, I found a company that I do freelance translations for and we have a long-standing relationship of at least 5 years now in which I have translated hundreds of documents for them. And they pay promptly on the 1st of each month. I still get offered either long-time or one-time translation work from other companies on my email via this site though I have not even visited it in 3 years. Since I am working full-time at the moment I cannot take these but it is telling that they regularly ask. There is another (paid) website called freelancer.com, which also works like this, but they take in general much lower rates for everything.

There is another site called FiveRR, where people offer their (oftenonline) skills for sale for $5, which I have not visited yet but I have heard really good things about it. There are reviews and rankings of the persons offering their skills. I don't think you  need to pay to join. If you are able to provide, for instance, "likes" to somebody's Facebook site, or visitors, or are able to answer for a small company's Facebook site (post likes and so on) you might be in business.

I have just joined a site called Paidsocialmediajobs where you apparently can obtain jobs like that, both regular jobs and one-time projects. I have not had the time yet to truly look at it but I will certainly post an update here when I have or when I have found something else that works. There are lots of yous out there that, like me, are looking for opportunities to make money and I think we should help each other when we can.

Protect yourself from internet identity theft (and make money with that)

Identity theft is a huge problem in the United States. Someone's identity is stolen every few seconds. You can protect yourself with the new PrivacyMaxx program. This is available in 1, 2, or 3-year packages. The interesting thing is that you can also earn interesting commissions by selling this program.

A 3-year program will earn you approximately $50 in commission and hopefully people will renew it after 3 years so you will have residual income. The 1-year program still earns half that. So how do you sell this program? The answer is: advertising and using your warm market. We all work online, we all need protection. SFI has free banners available such as the one you see above which you can use for your advertising.

What others are saying about SFI

I've been looking for ways to make some extra money and possibly the opportunity to become self-employed and get away from the daily grind of working for someone else and fattening their pockets instead of my own. Then I found SFI and the answer to all my prayers. SFI has all the resources, products and support to build a very successful and profitable home based business. Thank You SFI!!!!!!!!!!

How to be successful making money online: product reviews

One of the ways in which you can make online marketing work for you is by posting product reviews. People will actually rather read a review than an ad, because you know that the ad is promotion whereas the review hopefully is for real. I visit the Forum at SFI every day and the people who really are earning money tell us that one of the best ways of getting products sold is actually buying them and writing a review. Want to try it out? Ask me about a FREE $12 Gift Certificate which you can redeem at TripleClicks and use to buy any product you want!

I did that. I have a health & fitness blog and I have a product review on it about a sciatica acupressure pad, and it is actually visited regularly. No one has bought it yet, but then my review was honest-not very positive.

If I now come up with a review which is very positive, people will be more likely to believe me. So I try to find products that I can honestly be enthusiastic about. I am currently testing out some products that I hope will really work, such as a slimming cream (I do not need to lose weight but I have this stubborn jelly belly).

The point is: it works! People DO read reviews! I am absolutely planning to write more product reviews. You can also post product reviews on forums and other websites or leave it as a comment on Youtube or whatever, there are many ways you can use this as a "sneaky ad".

However, I have one very strong recommendation: write a serious and honest product review. An ad trying to pose as a review will have that "fake smell" and you will not make any sales from it. An ad is an ad and should say that it is an ad. A product review is an entirely different matter. Of course you can be very positive about a product, but then you have to really think it is a good product. You don't even have to write your own review if you haven't bought the product: find some honest reviews on the net and use these with proper sourcing. Add your own conclusion based on the reviews you found. It is less enticing than a review from a person that actually uses the product, though. I mean, you want somebody to buy something you are not buying yourself......hmmmm.

There are even companies that send well-known popular bloggers free products in the hope that they will write a review about it. Who knows, you might become one of them!

The simplicity of the SFI system has helped me to develop a six- figure income coming right out of college. With its great team leaders on your side and simple automation, you can build a successful home-based business in no time at all!"
